City Transport

City Transport GranadaWhile Granada is just small enough so that you can easily get around by walking, there is an excellent public bus system which will get you from any point A to any point B. Whether you need to get around Granada for practical or for sightseeing purposes, getting access to transportation is fairly easy. Between the ever-handy Granada urban bus system to double-decker tour buses, there are tons of wheeled vehicles that will get you off your feet and on to your destination.

You’ll notice a constant stream of bright red buses weaving throughout Granada- these buses are the fleet run by the public transportation company Transportes Rober. Aside from normal city bus routes, Granada’s bus company runs a few special services, including night routes, micro-buses up to the Alhambra, and transportation to the El Ferial fairgrounds on the city outskirts during the Corpus Christi festival.

The city of Granada has been shaped by the hills, where the old districts in the Albaicin and the Alhambra were founded, brimming with steep, narrow streets, beautiful nooks and crannies, and marvelous landscapes. The new part of the city is situated on the plain, crisscrossed by the large arteries of Gran Via de Colon and Calle de los Reyes Catolicos, and also where the busy streets around the Cathedral are found.

Main highlights include the Cathedral, Acera de Darro, Alhambra, Palaco de Congresos and the Museo Federico Garcia Lorca.

We hope you enjoy Granada…

Un saludo!!
