If you are thinking of traveling with DiscoverGranada to Morocco and/or Lagos, Portugal, then remember that our buses depart from Sevilla. And the best/easiest way to get here is by Bus. The bus duration is about 3h and half to get from Granada to Sevilla. You are more than welcome to contact us with any questions or doubts!

About Granada Airport:

Situated in the area known as “Vega del Genil,” the plains of the River Genil are 16km west of the city of Granada. The access to the airport is directly south from the A92 Seville motorway. The airport mainly offers national flights to Madrid and Barcelona but recently has expanded with a number of international flights with low cost airlines.

The terminal building was opened in 1972. The airport has a single runway, 2,900 m long by 45 meters wide named 09 – 27 and an apron with twenty-five aircraft stands, of which eleven are for commercial planes. In 2009 a total of 777.000 passenger passed through the Granada airport (departures plus arrivals).

Airport bus:

The airport also offers a frequent, convenient airport bus service. The buses are well aware of the arrival times are adapt the timetable as such. The price is around 4 euros per person. All of the buses at some point go down Gran Via de Colón then Reyes Catolicos in the centre of Granada.

Taxi to the airport of Granada

If you don’t want to walk through the streets with your luggage, you can get a taxi which costs approx 29 euros. There is supposedly a fixed taxi fare for taxis from the airport to the city centre (28 euros for the centre of Granada, and 30 euros for the Albaicín) so it’s a good idea to ask how much it will cost before getting in the taxi. The taxi driver should not use the taximeter.
